The subject of my Brief-Encounters-drawings are ephemeral encounters between strangers, lovers and friends, who meet amidst flora, fauna and deconstructed furniture. The protagonists find themselves in diverging states of being and waiting, of observing and being observed. They are accompanied by animals, who supposedly act as bearers of enciphered messages and consign the events into the realms of fantasy. My drawings are stories about encounters lost in time, in which neither walls, doors, windows or the bottom ground define a boundary.
